Standings After Day 2

It was an exciting day in Fort St. John today with all teams competing in round robin play. After day 2 there is a tie for first place between Zone 2 and Zone 5 and Zone 8 and Zone 4A are in a race for one more point as they are both currently tied with 4 points a piece.

Day 2 saw an overtime win for Zone 7 over Zone 4B after a great game between the two teams.

    Coach Credentials for 2020 BC Winter Games

    All BC Winter Games Zone Teams must declare ONE HEAD COACH. Bench staff can include a Maximum of three staff including the head coach. Additional staff include one or two Assistant Coaches. All bench staff must be the credentials listed below.

    Certification Levels

    • All Coaches MUST be Competition Introduction (CI) certified by November 15, 2019
    • All Bench Staff must have:
      • Making Ethical Decisions module and MED Evaluation
      • Prevention in Motion, Respect in Sport, or equivalent
      • Concussion Training such as: Making Headway OR Concussion Awareness Training
      • Criminal Record Check
    • Coaches who do not meet the certification requirements listed above are eligible to apply; however, if a coach has NOT completed the certification levels necessary by the deadline listed above they will be removed from their position.

    Additional criteria for team bench staff:
    – One Coach MUST be female
    – Coaching staff must reflect the gender equity of the team. Teams can select a male coach even if all athletes on the team are female, but additional staff must be female.

    2020 Sport Chair for Ringette: Andrea Moffat
    Andrea Moffat lives in Fort St. John and has volunteered her time to help facilitate Ringette’s competition at the 2020 BC Winter Games as our Sport Chair. Andrea plays woman’s hockey and is excited to bring the fastest game on ice to her hometown of Fort St. John. Thank you Andrea for giving up your time to help bring our sport to the 2020 BCWG.
