A little bit about Evan:

Evan started playing Ringette in 1989 in Guelph, Ontario. Although he continued to play into University, where he founded the team to play in the University Cup, officiating became his favorite part of the game in 1999. Over the past 22 years, Evan has been selected to Officiate at A and AA provincial events in both BC and Ontario, the Western Canadian Ringette Championships on 4 occasions, and the Canadian Ringette Championships in 2019. Evan has been developing officials as a Regional Evaluator since 2011 and has contributed to the NRL since 2015.
When he is not in his stripes Evan is a high school teacher and director at a small independent school in Squamish. Evan holds a Master’s degree in Ancient Mediterranean Cultures pushes his students in English, Social Sciences, Philosophy, and Latin. On weekends, Evan enjoys the full range of adventurous activities available in his home Squamish: endurance mountain bike racing, splitboard touring, and mountaineering. When the weather is truly grim though, Evan’s other hobbies take over and you’ll find him programming, making furniture, or working on his truck.
